Looking for a recommendation for wireless headsets with Avaya 9611G and 9641G/GS. No lifters, no ring sensors. The Plantronics and Jabras I’ve looked at seem to require ring sensors.

This Sennheiser model and EHS cable look like they will work.

Any other thoughts, keeping my no lifter & no ring sensor desire in mind?

The latest software for the 9601/9608/9608G/9611G/9621G/9641G/9641GS supports "bi-directional EHS" which allows the use of wireless headsets without lifters/ring detectors. Compatible EHS cables are available from Jabra (Jabra LINK 33 EHS) and Plantronics (APV-63 EHS). You will need to enable headset signaling in the menu of the phone. You can find application notes on

We use the Jabra WHB003BS with the 33 dongle gwebster describes above. It works excellent.

We use the Plantronics WO2 on 9611G's. need a cable between the base connected to the headset jack on the phone. No lifter or sensors.

I use a Plantronics Bluetooth headset, "Legend" model, over the ear. Most comfortable headset I've ever used. Battery lasts all day for normal usage.

Thanks all. That's the info I was looking for. Although those cables seem to ship with ring detectors, they are not necessary.

The Jabra LINK 33 EHS and Plantronics APV-63 EHS do not need a ring detector. The ring indication is sent to the basestation over the cable itself when you enable headset signaling in the phone.

Plantronics Savi740 w/APV 63 cable is my favorite. no need for lift and integrates to PC and Cell phone nicely.

Saiyan656, you don't need the ring-sensor either, correct? The thingy that you stick on the phone's speaker?
