We are running ServiceCenter 3 and will be upgrading to 5 next year. Has anyone hear or found out ways to update a ticket or ticket status using a PDA or text pager?

We were able to setup that by using email. You need SCAuto Email (the full 2-way package, not SCEmail). If a user sends a properly formatted message into the system, it will update a ticket.

That is good to hear. Is the information in one of the manuals? We have the SCAuto Email package, however it broke when our company upgraded to Exchange 2000 systems.

We mucked around with the info that is in the SCAuto Applications manual. Chapter 3 is Email for Windows. We set it up using eventmaps. What we did was get the system to work first by having email sent into it, then try using the pager to send in email.

Peregrine has a product called Mobile. Depending on what you want to do with wireless PDA’s Mobile is most comprehensive solution available. I would strongly recommend looking into the product.

Have your Peregrine Rep contact lisa.hanna@peregrine.com In order to coordinate further information from and actual Mobile enabled customer.
