At my company we have a bunch of laptops that go out and connect to hotel wireless networks and regular wired networks. The wired networks aren't a problem because we can still restrict their permissions. But with the wireless connections XP makes you have admin rights to change network configuration settings which makes sense but in terms of blocking these users from changing the wireless connections without admin rights is causing problems for us.
We do not want these users to be floating around with admin rights outside of our company. Does anybody know any settings that I can change to allow them to change the wireless settings without having admin rights. Maybe someone knows a directory or files I can edit permissions on to bypass this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Joe
