WinXP Pro taskbar "freezes" periodically

Hi,

I have XP pro using AMD Duron 950 and 512MB ram. Periodically, my taskbar will freeze. Everything else is accessable such as my icons. Then, a few minutes later, everything I tried to do that taskbar would appear. Then a few minutes later, it was freeze again. Any idea why this would be happening?

Yes, I've already applied the new service pack (SP1). Funny this is, when I installed XP, it worked fine. Maybe the only resolution I should try is to uninstall all application and cleanup my registry. Do you think that'll work?
