WINXP not Bootable

I got a copy of WINXP in a thumb drive. Copied all the files to a CD. But my system will not see the CD if I boot with the CD in. My old xp cd will work but not the new one. Not sure if it loses some files when you transfer the files from the cd to thumb drive then to cd again.
 
Your BIOS must support that thumb drive as a bootable device. Not all do.

I suspect piracy as well. Microsoft doesn't sell or supply its software on thumb drives.
