WinXP Firewall and ZEN Remote Management

Recently deployed WinXP Pro on laptops and enabled its firewall. I completely forgot that doing so would prevent Zen remote management. I've found the TCP and UDP ports Zen needs to use and where to input the info. I'm just trying to figure out how to get the changes on 200 laptops in a four county area.

We use the computer name as the workstation object name. My testing shows that if you put 127.0.0.1 as the address of the computer hosting the service in the advanced XP firewall screens and then click OK, the computer name will then appear. I'm thinking I could create an application object but I need to end it while that screen is still open or it will input the same, incorrect host name on all PCs. Then I have to let the users know that they need to click the OK button and close out all the windows.

Is there a better way that you can think of?

Do you use any other form of remote software like ghost console or pc anywere.because anything like Goups policys and ports settings stay local to the merchine and cannot be over written by domain policys or router ports .if you are use ghost you could use ghost console and make a new config and sent it .

what you could do is get hold of one of the laptops make a new profile with the ports open and then pass that out useing zen .

Can I do that with Zen 3.2? I assumed I needed 4 for all that fancy XP stuff.

i dont know we went from zen 2 to zen 4 i know you can do it in zen 4
