Hello
When I want to make configuration Wins
must I remove netbeui protocol from clients Win95
Does such clients must automaticly logon into wins
database or I must add it.
Have i to use DHCP for win95 clients?
If u r enable wins, i think win95 and win98 clients can use static IP b\c wins maintain a table of IP and netbios name of user PC's in a network. wins also stop broadcast.
Hiii... IMHO Having NetBEUI does not matter... Since you'll be using WINS the protocol employed will be TCP/IP anyway...
WINS Clients will automatically register themselves in the WINS database upon booting or whenever a WINS boots up...
As far as DHCP is concerned... thats completely optional... Using it will reduce your configurations part such as automatically configuring DNS, WINS, Gateways, IPs, etc... on the DHCP clients... But.. static IPs would do too..
hi,
thank you for comments
If I want to use Wins for W9.X clients
