I would say no, since I think the version of JET, which handles the WINS and DHCP databases has changed. It's not that hard to let WINS autoregenerate or migrate to a new DHCP scope though. For the latter, just create a new scope on your W2K server, configure all the proper options and reservations, and activate it. Then deactivate (DON'T DELETE) the scope you had been using on your NT box. The NT box will refuse to renew any of the existing leases and will force the clients to get addresses from the new box. It's the best way to go and the migration will take as long as 1/2 of time of your current lease duration.
I do not believe so since the databases are proprietary. I have tried to move WINS databases between NT 4.0 servers with no luck. Your best bet is to put up your 2k WINS server and create a push/pull so that the database replicates. Then, after all of your clients are configured to use the 2k WINS server, retire the NT 4.0 WINS server...MPM
You can move DHCP from NT4 to Win2k. Check out MS knowledge base article Q130642 "How to Move a DHCP Database to Another Windows Server." There's a Jet conversion process that takes place at the end of the steps for moving from NT4 to Win2k.
For WINS -- I second the idea of setting up a push/pull between the old and new server. Worked for us just a couple weeks ago without any problems.
I agree on the push-pull migration of WINS. Look up the use of persona non grata. This is a registry hack in WNT4S and a GUI option in W2K. It will keep the information in your old server from hanging around forever.
