I have a visual basic app with several crystal reports (version 7). it connects to a sql server and displays a report. it works fine on a windows 95 machine. i have installed it on a windows 2000 workstaion machine. the program works fine except when you try to print a rport. it looks loike the crystal viewer fust flahes and goes away and nothing else happens. Do i have to upgrade any of the seagate crystal runtime files? if so where do i get them from.

Search for Runtime.hlp and read the topics. It depends how you are connecting the DATABASE AND Crystal reports. It runtime files varies for ODBC DRIVERS AND JET OLEDB providers. Read the RUNTIME.hlp based on the DAtaaccess method you have.

I donot use an odbc connection. I pass the connection string as Dsn=Server;UID=user;PWD=password;DSQ=Database

i think this then uses the generic crystal sql driver. this method works for all win95 machines i seem to be only having tje problem on win 2000 machines.
