WinME Photo Editor Problem

Recently installed Win ME over Win 95. 95 had Microsoft Photo Editor 3.01. I was very happy with it. WinME uses "Imaging". All jpegs and pics are very unclear, look animated. Cant figure out how to fix the problem. Would like to download Photo Editor 3.01 from web, but cant find. Can anyone shed any light on settings, etc..that would make all images blurred and animated looking?

Possibly check your Display parameters under Control Panel. Often by default the colors are set to 256. Use True color setting (if you can) for clearer photo images.

Some displays have limited memory, so not all options may be available. At least try another setting to see if you can make the photos clearer.

JVFriederick...you were correct! The display looked fine, other than graphics, so I never checked the control panel settings. That fixed the problem. Thanks!

Just thought I'd mention, Microsoft Photo Editor is included with Office, though not in a standard installation. In 2000 it's under office tools.
