Is there a way to have a wingding and text in same cell?

or Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map (path may vary depending on version of windows, but it should be somewhere under "Accessories").

Character map doesnt work, you need to make the cell wingding format, which then you cant have normal text in there too.
The correct answer is Insert Symbol
 
I'll be darned. I guess I've never tried using Character Map for inserting two different fonts in the same cell.... I just assumed it would work.

I am not a very advanced bear, but I do this all the time with webdings. I just did a test, entering the name "Farquhardt r" in a cell. "r" in webdings is a big black X.

I f2 edited the cell, mousing over only the "r" and then |Format|Cell|Font, choosing webding {enter} and I get "Farquhardt with a big black X" next to it.

I don't know if this is being helpful . . .
