What i am trying to do is burn some files off a server that has japanese files on it (in the filename). The burner software (easy cd creator 3.5c) cant find the files because the OS doesnt recognize the charaters. Does anyone know how to get the OS (in windows explorer NOT IE) to recognize these japanese characters? If not does anyone know if upgrading to a newer burner software will acomplish the same result?

some characters are not readable by english version of windows, try renaming the files instead (use DOS, if explorer doesn't work)

if it doesn't work too, try renaming the extension to a unique one first(make sure no any other files have that extension in the directory that you stored the files), then do this from DOS:

(lets say you rename the extension to .aaa)

C:\>ren *.aaa abc.mpg

repeat for other files. ----------------------------------------
