I have just upgraded to Windows XP, and find that it is very slow! Other that my processor being only a 350mhz (min rec is 300mhz), I can't think of anything that is doing this. I have 256mb of ram, a 64meg g-force 2 Video card, and 250watt power supply.

I am planning to upgrade to a new motherboard and 1.8mhg processor, but until then............

Any suggestions?

Keith

Most likely something on there is not XP certified?? like writing software? you are close to the min hardware spec which may make it run slower than 98me or similar.
I have XP installed on all 3 of the PC's in my house, one of which is an AMD K62 400 and that seems to run OK! so I would guess a driver or software conflict. Martin

Any kind of system modding (ie: windowsblinds) will bog down your comp big time, also all your hardware seems to be okeydokey but your proc is 350Mhz, that would make your mobo a bit older for XP, maybe that's the issue. Also, if you got a controller card installed, that used to bog me down until I got updated drivers ;-)
