Hello, not sure if im in the right forum but here goes...

I am in a peer-to-peer environment, I have an XP pro box with public shares... ala everyone. If a win 9x box brings up the pc by name the shares are visable, if a 2k box access the name, A login in box appears...

how can I have it so that all people will be able to access the shares regardless of login,

thanks in advance!
Brian

All accounts must reside in the computers Local Security Databse where the share is housed.

UserA on computerA must also have a UserA account on computerB....

Exactly, this is what im trying to get around.... odd thing is that win 9x clients dont seem to need to have a valid account.
