I am running on XP Pro but i am having difficulty with the propor instalation of the sound card. (Sound Blaster: Audigy) Model # sb0090. When i run the setup prosses, with the given cd, it will load completely and say it is finished. But when rebooted, no sound is working, and if any does it is choppy and un-audible. I am wondering if this is a card probleam or a driver probleam, or any other probleam i am not aware of. I have discovered that there is not device conflicks, device is active, and have updated windows drivers multiple times! Thank you for your time!

We were experiencing a similar problem here in our organization but were able to fix this by updating the drivers. We use sysprep to image our systems and found out that MS was using drivers that it thought were best. We then replaced it with the correct manufacturer driver and worked like a charm.

Thank you for the responce!
A couple questions...
What is Systprep?
How do i use it?
And how do i find the "right" Drivers?

Thank you!

I have dealt with this problem twice and both times found the issue to be that the set-up seemed to default to analog though the cards and speakers were digital in both cases. Changing the setting resulted in great sound both times. If you are using digital equipment, I suggest you check this setting.
