Ok, I have a RAID system with XP Pro. We cannot get the computer to startup. B-( Is there a startup disk available? Not one to reinstall though. It simply keeps asking for the bootable disk, but I did not get one with purchase.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

OK - you cannot put your primary drive on the raid card ( the one with the windows installation on it ) THAT drive has to be connected to an IDE port - else it will go unseen because it is the drivers which support RAID in windows which allow access to drives on a RAID card - ya with me so far ?
If you hide the windows installation away on a drive connected to the RAID card, then there is no drive connected to the IDE port with windows installed on it to give you access to the drive on the RAID card.

All that was done when we first set up over a year ago. But now, when it tries to reboot, it asks for the IDE bus master IRQ settings, which we cannot get to. I think the floppy went out and caused all these problems! Thanks anyway for the help, but if you think of anything else, please let me know. [thumbsup]

Boot to your XP CD and do a repair install and have your RAID drivers handy in case it asks, but it might not since it's a repair install.

Good luck,

Tried that and it didn't work. Even tried with the RAID drivers.
Thanks anyway!

Will it boot into Safe Mode?

Is the floppy drive working?
