Not sure if this should be in the XP thread or Office thread but i'll try here anyway. I have a standalone laptop with XP SP2 and Outlook 2K on it. I want to Export 350+ Contacts but every time I click on Import / Export in Outlook i get the following error - Outlook encountered a problem and needs to close. The 'error signature' reads - AppName outlook.exe AppVer 9.0.0.6604 ModName mso9.dll ModVer 9.0.0.6926 Offset 0026297c. Has anybody encountered this error before or have any idea how i can export my contacts? Thanks for any time spent thinking about this.

It is always a good idea to check for any applicable updates.

Move contacts to another computer (2003 article?)

"Why is the Import/Export wizard unavailable?

If the Import/Export wizard is unavailable, verify that the language or country/region selected in the Regional and Language Options (Microsoft Windows XP) or Regional Options (Microsoft Windows 2000) dialog box in Control Panel matches the Outlook User Interface (UI) language. See Windows Help for more information."

Idea to get around it.

Click on control panel and go to "mail"
Click data files and add a new data file (.pst)
Open outlook and the data file should be listed there and copy the contacts folder into the data file.

Do the same thing to copy it into another outlook profile
