Hi guys, I've got a problem. I have a laptop with Windows XP. I installed Comodo Internet Security but when I restarted it, my laptop just would not load up the Windows. It restarts, then a black screen, then Windows start up screen with loading bar, then just restarts back again. It just goes on and on like that. I tried booting it up in safe mode, it's still not working. I tried using Ultimate Boot CD and still no joy. I even went to the extreme of putting the recovery/restore disk but still no success. What must I do guys? any ideas?

thanks for any help.

I had a similar problem with an older system a while back. Turned out the hard drive was to blame. I use a program called spinrite that found and relocate a handful of bad sectors at the beginning of the disk. The system ran for quite a while after that without problems (at least until the cat knocked it off the desk...)

When loading in safe mode, it prints some stuff on the screen. How far does it get?

Can you boot in safe mode command prompt?

on windows boot menu (F8), choose disable reboot on error and come back with th bsod

hi guys, when i press f8 and choose disable reboot on error i have this error:

STOP: c000021a { fatal system error }
the session manager initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000034. the system has been shut down.

im stuck?!

Hi guys!

I made it to work again!

I was becoming desperate. I tried all sorts. I tried wiping clean my hdd, scanning for any bad sector, didn't find any. i was not really convinced because i read that it could be caused by hardware failures etc, so, i installed ubuntu and it worked without any hassle. so i still searched the net for some clues and lo and behold i got this weird solution that this someone tried to copy the recovery disk supplied by toshiba and use that to recover/reinstate everything. i tried that saying to myself that it's worth a try and olala, it worked like a charm!!!!

thnx a lot guys for all your help. your help and suggestions led me to that solution.

you all have a nice day!

:)
