Hi,

I want to disable SP2 Firewall for a specific PC only, i mean i want to allow all kind of traffic form some specifice nodes on my Subnet, is it possible? Or if I can allow a range of TCP/UDP ports like 1-5000 etc.
any help would be highly appreciated.

kind regards,
Tayyab

Well you should be able to do it in a couple of ways.

Just go and manually turn of the firewall at the machine in question.

Or if you have a policy turning on the firewall for all the pc's in the domain, you could make a new group that has a rule to turn of the firewall on the pc's in that group.

If I remember correctly you can't specify a range in the MS firewall you have to manually open specific ports.

Make the best use of what is in your power, and take the rest as it happens.

Thank you for your reply.
That wasn't my question. I have asked how can I allow all kinds of traffic IN/OUT from some specific nodes to a Windows XP SP2 machine having Firewall enabled, I don't wanna disable firewall as well, i wanna disable it only for 1 or 2 nodes in my network for all kinds of traffic, is it possible?

regards,
Tayyab
