i just got linksys router and i install it it is working fine. the then when i pulled up my Dos Prompt and typed in ipconfig it sad :

'ipconfig' is not recongnized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

I do not know what that is? The same thing happens when i try to talnet also, infaxt it says that for all command i typ in.

Just change directories to the System32 directory.

Type cd\ to get to the root (C:?)
Then type cd winnt (or Windows if it's not winnt)
Then type cd System32

Now do ipconfig

This has nothing to do with your router.

Either you do not have the utilities installed in your Windows subdirectory, or your path is screwed up.

Check your existing variables by right-clicking My Computer, Properties, Advanced.

There should be an extensive set of paths set to the Windows folder.

thank you bcastner ,and volkoff007 . you real help me a lot
