Every time I boot my machine either a blue screen appears displaying a stop error (windows protection error) or it runs scandisk. No faults are found on the scan and the machine will boot ok when it has completed.

Also cannot get rid of the white SOLTEK screen on initial startup which diplays either POST or BIOS setup. Consequently the computer does not display the processor speed or any startup info.

I'm running a soltek SL 75FRV board with AMD 2000XP+ processor if that helps. Thanks

I know of systems that are prone to this kind of phenomonon, i dont know if its hardware related..., if you have an XP installation disk then do a system repair, it usually does the trick.....

That is an installation CD not a boot disk (my bad) .
