Hi All,

I need some information about boot disks for Windows XP.

I see that Microsoft has different boot disks for XP home and XP pro. They also say that I need 6 blank disks to make a boot disk. 6 Disks? Why so many? Do I really need all 6?

Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure about XP Pro but the home edition requires 5 floppies for a boot disk set and yes you need all of them!

You can just use a windows 98 disk and go to the /i386 dictunary and start the program winnt.exe instead of making the 6 disks. :)

Great!
Thanks for the info.
