Tried several times to connect up to freeserve using wizard.
Can receive messages from freeserve but when I try to send a message I get the following message:

The connection server has failed. Account "pop freeserve.com (1)". Server: "smtp. freeserve.com. Protocol: SMTP. Port:25, Secure (SSL): nO. sOCKET eRROR: 10060, eRROR nUMBER 0x800ccc0E.

Can anyone shed some light on this please ?

Sorry everyone - instead of IE6 read Outlook Express 6 !

It may just be the way it was cut-and-pasted, but it looks like there's a space between smtp. and freeserve.com. Go to Tools -> accounts, select the mail tab, double-click on the account you're using, click on the Servers tab, and make sure there's no space there. Marc Creviere
