In some applications, windows does not prompt to save passwords, and even if it does, they aren't saved later. Also, it doesn't save "searches" in search engines (i.e., drop-down history)...In some other applications it does just fine...can anyone help?

I already checked Internet options and made sure AutoComplete was on.

Try Internet Options>Advanced>Browsing......Put a check next to "Enable Third Party Browser Extensions"(Requires restart).........

Go into Internet Options>Content Under Personal Information click on AutoComplete and make sure that 'Promt me to save passwords' is ticked.

Very happy to help and to hear it worked....
