Windows won't restart

I have just installed win 2k prof and now when I restart my computer from start menu, I just won't do anything. The screen turns into black and the cursor blinks on top left corner of screen..
Any suggestions??

What are you PC specifications? It sounds to me like you've had a bad install, but we'll start with the obvious.

Hard drive is old..but I dont think so its bad..
Win 2k, P4 1.5 GHz, 60 Gb Harddrive, 512 MB Ram

Do you think its may be something wrong in BIOS??
