I would like to add a web site to all my users favorite folder. I was wondering if i can do this from the server somewhere instead of going to each pc. Please let me know any easy way or a step by step on how to get this done.

Can you explain a little more clearly exactly what you are trying to do? It sounds like it is possible, but I'm not really sure what you're looking to do.

Ok i have 12 csr reps that I need to add web links in there favorites folder. I do not want to sit at every pc and manually place this link. I would like a way in the profiles on the server to add the link. Problem is I do not know where to go on the server to do this. I thought that if the profile was on the server (whick is win 2k domain controller) you can add and delete stuff in there profile.

You can absolutely do this from the server, through group policy. Are you currently using group policy?

The setting is located here:

-User Configuration
-Internet Explorer Maintenance
-URLs
-Favorites and Links

Here, you can add any favorites you want and automatically apply them to users in your domain.

I have one more question for you. How can i view what is in the folder of the favorites. It only gives me an option to add urls. thanks for all your help

Well you can only see the URL's that you are adding via group policy. You will not be able to see everyone's favorites that they've added themselves.

yeah I know but i want to be able to view my sites that I added. See the problem is I just took over and i know some users get default favorites when I create there account. I was trying to view them but i do not know how the last guy did it. I have looked all over and when i went to the group policies -User Configuration
-Internet Explorer Maintenance
-URLs
-Favorites and Links
I was unable to view the contents. just gave me an option to add more sites.

It should let you view the ones you've added (if not, how can you remove them?)

Are you sure you are looking in the correct Group Policy object?
