Hi,

I am having issues with a Windows XP Pro machine with SP3 keeps bringing up the error on the attached file and when you click OK it brings up another DLL.

This only appears on the logon screen and when your logging off not while your logged in.

I don't see much about that DLL on the internet. I would either replace both DLLs mentioned from another XP machine OR run an SFC /SCANNOW to see if that will fix it, followed by a reboot in either case.

I'd also be concerned that it COULD be malware, but try the easy fix first.

Managed to fix this one, tried SFC /SCANNOW but did not work so I had a look at the logs and seen WMI kept failing so:

1. Stopped the Windows Management Instrumentation service.

2. Went to the %SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem\Repository folder.

3. Delete all of the files that are in the %SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem\Repository folder or rename the folder.

4 Restart the computer. The files that were deleted are recreated when the computer restarts.

The Windows Management Instrumentation service will start automatically when you restart the computer.
