Windows Protection Error

I am having a trouble loading windows 95. I just got done with setup and restarted the puter. upon restart I recieved a windows protedtion error. I tried booting in to safe mode but I still got the error. I can get into Com Prompt. I think I have to go into edit and open the file config.sys and perform a safe delete until the problems goes away. The only problem is that I open config.sys nothing is on the screen. Is there another way to fix this madness.

Are you at a point where you can "Format" your hard drive then Re-install Win95?

Often times this helps but make certain you have saved all critical data before the "Format"

Windows 95 hasn't even loading for the first time. I don't understand what you meant about formating. Are you refering to fdisk. The drive is already formatted.
