Windows NT Server and a Lexmark Z52 printer: Nothing prints

Can somebody out there help me with this. Our company has an NT print server that all our printers run through. We recently received some Lexmark Z52 printers from our support center to replace some aging HP's. The Lexmark's won't use a MarkNet Print Server box. When we tried setting the queue up on the server the print job would flash through the queue, the Marknet box would flash like a job was coming through and then nothing ever came out. Our support center said that the only way to do this was to hook it to a workstation and share it out that way. We did this and it works fine, except that every user (over 100) has to remap the printer. Just to test we set the queue to use a port of \\ha39852\D3N0105 (machine and printer name) and it did the same thing as the Marknet box. The job went through the queue on the server, then through the queue on the machine but nothing ever came out. Has anybody seen a similar problem or does anyone know some sort of workaround to get this to work through the server? Thanks.

cdbillups,
I am slightly confused......
You say it will not use a marknet box and then say the marknet box was flashing.
Have you got a marknet box connected and if so does it appear in the Markvision software to enable you to configure it?

We originally had a Marknet box on it that could be configured through a web interface. Our IS department as well as our Support Center's IS department tried everything they could think of to get it to work. The document would go through the server queue, the Marknet box would blink like data was coming through, but nothing would ever come out of the printer. With it hooked to a workstation, with audio prompts enabled, we could hear the document hit the workstation queue (said something like "printing document." We then heard something along the lines of "printing complete" or "document complete" but still nothing came out of the printer. So if we try to install the drivers on the server, using a Marknet box or a workstation as print server, it clears both queues but doesn't print anything. The only workaround our Support Center could come up with is installing on a workstation and sharing it out. We could install it locally on the server but that wouldn't do the department any good that needs the printer. They'd have to walk downstairs to our office everytime they print.

We use lexmark printers at our site with marknet boxes through a print server. With Markvision loaded onto the print server itself we have never had it where we cannot find the box and then configure it.
If you have not configured the box then you are using its default settings obviously and there maybe a setting made that is causing you this particular problem.
Also in my experience when the lights flash on the box the data is obviously getting there but when nothing appears the printer is not interpretting this data correctly, and usually points to the printer driver installed.
What OS are you using on your server and clients.

We're using Windows NT Server on our servers (Service Pack 5 I think.) Also using NT Workstation on our users machine (same service pack.) Lexmark says that the particular printer we're using isn't networkable through a server. We could configure the Marknet box, and did many different ways to try to resolve this. We downloaded the newest driver from the Lexmark website.
