I have a network of about 100 users. 80 NT and 20 Windows 2000 PC's. I have recently been upgrading the Internet Explorer to version 6 Service Pack 1. Upon upgrading some of the NT boxes are getting an explorer error on Startup. Something along the lines of "explorer has caused and internal error and is shutting down. please close all programs and restart". It doesn't affect performance at all, I'm just curious if anyone else ran into this or a possible solution.

Thanks,

Dustin

Just out of curiosity, what happens when you uninstall the service pack on those machines?

I have not done this I will try to do it on one machine and see what that brings. I have a feeling it is the Service Pack because it only started occurring after I installed SP1. It was fine with all the hotfixes.

I have experience of this also on all my NT4 WS that I install SP6 on but its occurance on each workstation is erratic.
Not found a solution yet. ;(
