Hello Folks :

I have a Windows NT 4.0 with 3 SCSI Hard Drives as Spanned Volumes one of the guys install Service Pack 6 and now the server won't boot. Now the issue is that I have critical data on those hard drive and the person never did BACKUPS what's the easiest way of recovering those files the Hard Drives seems to be OK and we haven't format the Disk or anything hower one of the guys tried to use R-Studio Data Recovery 2.0 but was not succefully.Any feedback or advised as well as any good software is welcome....Thanks very much

Got 3 options here.

1 Yes, and since u have service pack 6 installed , you can boot with a windows 2000 server CD and use the windows 2000 recovery console. Once logged on, disable "bad" servcices that stop windows from correctly booting etc...

2. Install a second OS (windows 2000)on an other partition.
Once installed you can access the "inaccesable files"

3 pay money and get a copy Winternals Admin Pack v4. This one WILL help you out for sure.

BestR.
