Hi,
I am trying to use Virtual PC to connect to a streaming site which works ONLY with IE 5.5+ .
The streaming is done inside a Web Browser Window using embedded Windows Media Player.

The streaming starts normally but after every 2 minutes, the streaming stops and i see "Ready" written on the Windows Media player status Bar. Clicking Play again does not start the stream, but refreshing the page starts streaming for another 2 minutes. So the page has to be refreshed every 2 minutes.

If i try this using someones Windows PC and there is no problem like this.

Can someone please help me on this?

Thanks

VPC is not the greatest solution in the world, things run slower and put more strain on the machine.

If you have a bunch of RAM in the mac, quit everything but VPC/IE. If you don't have enough ram you're going to run into bottlenecks on and stream/transfer as the mac machine looks for memory on the hard drive to compensate.

thanks for the response. However, RAM does not seem to be the issue here since VPC is the only program running on my mac when i see the streaming. I have allocated 288 MB to the Windows 2K instance in VPC and in general it runs fine.
I am thinking if there is some timeout setting in the network connection between VPC and MAC ethernet?
Or maybe after 2 mins some buffer gets full and it clears up only on refresh. ?

What other emulator can i try? Please suggest.

Regards,
Vikas
