W2K system with the latest version of Media Player. It will play everything but AVI files. When I open an AVI, it seems to grab the latest codec but only the audio portion is played - no video. I checked for player upgrades, but I do have the latest. My next step was going to be unistalling then reinstalling, but wanted to check with you guys to make sure I wasn't missing something. Sounds like the AVI is really a DIVX-encoded one. Go here to download the "DIVX4FullInstaller.exe" file, and see if that does it.
