Hi! Ok, so finally I got my sound card working after a long wait from cmedia to release a driver for Windows XP. But now, to my big dissapointment, I found out I can only use Windows Media Player to play my media files?!! How about my WinAmp?! My Media Jukebox?! Somebody help me! Please tell me the workaround here... Thanks.

Both these programs should work - what, exactly, is the problem? Are the programs not opening the files?

Usually a reinstall of the program (winamp, etc.) and the correct file associations will be set. Cheers,
Jim

There are no error messages of any sort, just no sound. No sound! File associations are alright since most media players out there takes monopoly of media files once installed. I already tried the re-install (the applications and the sound driver), no fix in there. I really don't know what's wrong here. I'm using CMI8738 and it's working fine on my other OS (Win98/ME). Anyone out there who knows how to get CMedia work on Linux Mandrake? Anyway, my immediate problem right now is my Windows XP. Help me please. Thanks.
