Windows Media Player Icon on Desktop

Does anyone know how to keep the Windows Media Player Icon from appearing when a new user logs onto a machine?

Look at the Default User profile, Start Menu, any entry there, including under the Programs folder.

You could also look under:

c:\documents and settings\Default User\Desktop, but I have never seen an entry made there unless a Sysprep Image was done improperly.

It appears on the desktop each time. Even though dung the creation of the image and sysprep I deleted from the desktop.

At one point someone used the preparation to access and test Media Player.

It made an entry in the Default User Profile.

You need a "cleaner" image prior to locking down the image for sysprep.

Go to documents a settings on your C: drive. Check in default users folder (hidden) under desktop see if there is an icon. Also check all users in the same spot for an icon. It should be in one of those.

You need to install windows with the unattend.txt file.
