When I leave my PC online (Tiscali broadband) connected to WinMx it slows down overnight such that the PC is unusable. I run Zonealarm firewall, use Adaware to remove any spyware, check everything with AVG viruscanner, and check available memory via Tweakall (there is usually very little available, even though I have 640Mb installed), but even when I free up memory it makes no difference. The only way to cure it is to reboot and then everything is fine (until the next time). Help please, it's driving me mad!

1 sure way to cure this is to get XP!
When I had ME I had to reboot 1-2 times per week to temporarily cure this slow down problem. Never could find a cause or a pattern to it.
Since I got XP I've had no problems.
My opinion ME = Junk

A better way to go: Win2000Pro. Not even close to the problems encountered when installing/un-installing hardware or software that happens with WinXP. IF you think you NEED WinXP, only go with the Pro version. Get rid of ME, because support(outside of high dollar phone calls - which is only till the end of the year) is ended for Win98,98SE,98ME June 1, 2003.
