Hi,

I've got a Windows 2003 SBS on an hp ML370 G4, at the weekend the cleaner switched of the server to plug in a hoover, when i tried to reebot the server this morning i got the following error:

The windows logon process system terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000080 ......

the system has been shut down.

I cant start in safe mode, last known good conf doesn't work, I really need some help.

Regards

This is usually due to a software component that may have overwritten an important Windows dll. Have you installed anything recently between reboots of your server?

Could also be a hardware component that might have an isssue too. Can you run hardware diags in SmartStart?

BTW is that the real reason or are you having a laugh with us? :)

honestly thats the real reason, the company in question use contract cleaners, this little woman didn't realise that the server couldn't be unplugged.

anyways, i did a repair install on win2k3 server and all is well.

Thanks for the responses everyone.
