Windows keeps detaching sound card

Windows keeps detaching my sound card. If I go into sound settings it says no audio device found. Yet if I go into device manager it says everything is fine. If I uninstall drivers and re-install them it works for a while then detaches again.
 
If Doug Knox or Kelly Theriot don't help, here are some other ideas.

Run the DxDiag from the Start Run box, see if that picks up anything.

Use MsInfo32 the same way too.

Have a look in the Event Viewer for any errors. Look in the System or Application folder. You can get to the Event Viewer via right click My Computer icon and select Manage.
