Hi

Windows is making me go mad by doing whatever it wants! For example I have set the windows to be displayed as a webpage, however every time I restart Windows and go back into a particular Window such as 'My documents', it is back as it was without the web view.

Then my mouse pointers dont work, for example the desktop theme travel has a propeller that turns when the computer is working. Since these problems have started it doesnt turn anymore.

Finally but by NO means last, my hard disk driver FIFO or something like that displays an error message!!??

Please help me before I feel the urge to throw the whole thing out the window.

Thanks

Hans

Hans, re your folder preference, I can't help except to sympathise - I've been trying to get Windows98 to remember that I only want to see folders in 'List' mode, ever since I installed the thing nearly two years ago. Nothing I've tried has worked and no-one has come up with a fix, either. It's got so that it's automatic behaviour for me now to enter a folder (through MyComputer is the way I always navigate) and the first thing I do is to go Alt\V then L to change the display from it's constant default of Large Icons.
Good Luck mate!

porty: There is a fix for your problem, it's not that hard either.
Open Explorer, open any folder, select the view you want (list w/details), then TURN OFF that stupid "view as web page!!!!!!"
Select View, Folder Options, View tab, and click on the "You can make all folders....Like Current Folder".
Close it by hitting the X in the top right corner, and windows SHOULD remember your settings. Cheers,
Jim
