windows installer keeps appearing everytime a program is started

This is a wierd one. I have checked that the install is a full installation of Office and it is. But everytime I click on Word windows installer starts off and then lets me in and I am able to use the application.

I performed a search of Micorosft and found

Nope its a full install from fresh

I've also seen a few mentions of modifying the registry using regedt 32 goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\shared tools Click on permissions Add everyone and give them full control

I'm having the exact same problem. I've tried repairing and reinstalling office, but still the problem remains

Have tried above but with NO success.
The program runs fine but the user has to wait for the installer to run. This happens everytime, but not for admin ( the person who installed the program)It a real pain any other ideas Micky Microsoft have nothing to help.

Some lead, some follow....I just Hope!

Are you running W2KPro? We have experienced some problems with administrators installing software that will not work for the regular user of the computer.

After giving full rights to the user, the problem went away.

How do I give full rights to a networked user ?

Goto control panel
Users and Groups
add user (the loacl users signon)
add the domain name
set as administrator

Done

Reboot and signin!
