Windows generated code

Hi

feel like a dummy here, but going to ask question anyway.

I am adding a new form to my application but the Windows generated code is not appearing, it is like it is hiding. Can any1 tell me if you can hide the code if so how do you unhide it a s ineed to use code in the constructor

then if you look at the solution explorer an you will see that your form has a + left of it. Click on it and look for the file with .designer. in its name. There you will find the formdesigners code.

i take it in 2005 it does not show the generated code as soon as you create a form in the code

Yes, Microsoft found via their usability studies that developers making changes to that region of code caused lots of problems that they couldn't fix, and the devs ended up getting really frustrated. So they moved the "private" part of the form to this partial class in the .designer file to hide it from them.
