In Windows XP, one could append the switch /e to the explorer.exe shortcut to get it to open to the C: drive. Is there a switch in Vista's version to do this? Every doc I've found on it assumes that it functions like XP, but is doesn't.

just append under target /e,c: , that will open explorer with the c drive

/e,, will open mycomputer

that also works with vista

Something here may help you. The "e" switch you mention is to open Explorer in the Default View, you will also need a switch to tell it to open the C: drive.
