On my Server SBS 2003, I am facing a problem from last couple of days. Windows explorer is continuously restarting every after 6-7 seconds. It doesn't allow you to do anything on the server.

All other services are working properly. Even the network is working fine and users can also log in to DNS.

How do I get rid of this problem?

Thanks

Sounds like it could be a virus to me, start in safe mode and run a virus scan, if this comes up clean remain in safe mode open a CMD prompt and type SFC.EXE /scannow.
You will need the CD in the tray while this is running.

In that case I will have to do this step considering the downtime. I will do this tonight and will let you know how it goes.

Thanks

Since it is a server...
Turn off system restore, boot to safe mode with network, run multiple virus scanner (Kasper, Mcaffee, Trend), and multiple anti malware programs, Malwarebytes being one of them. Make sure your MS updates are up to par.

Thats waht I thought and I started Super Antispyware on it. It will take at least 6 hrs. I will let you know all with the result.

Thak you all for your comments. But any more specific solutions are welcome.

The scan resolved a problem by 50%. Explorer is not restarting now but there is an error which has not been solved.

the error is

Data Execution Prevention
To help potect your computer, windows has closed this program
Name: Windows Explorer

I have attached the error, which is getting continuously on the server screen

I have scanned the server with AVG Server edition with latest virus update, Malwarebytes and also with superantispyware. But nothing fixed the problem.
