Have you updated your antivirus and scanned? Also do a spyware scan.

Matt J.

I have scanned this for viruses 3 times and nothing came up,I also had to fix other problems along with this using scandisk & checkdisk utilities it did not fix this any more suggestions?

Download Hijack This from and create a start-up log from the config section. Post the log here and we will be able to make sure nothing nasty is running.

Once we have ruled this out we can start looking at other avenues.

Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer. Please post the event error in detail from the log files.

For example, this error is common if you have Clean Sweep installed.

Thanks for the tips and I will post the error in detail to help and give info on what it could be Thanks trying right now

This what event viewer posted

Windows Operating System
ID: 1000
Source: Application Error
Version: 5.2
Symbolic Name: ER_USERCRASH_LOG
Message: Faulting application %1, version %2, faulting module %3, version %4, fault address 0x%5.

Go to and enter Application as the source and 1000 as the event ID. It discusses your error, it also states that it is likely you also receive error id 1001 at the same time. If this is the case post the contents of error 1001 here.

I see a possible .dll issue.

Could you give more details on: "help me with Windows XP Coorperate", including whether you have Service Pack 1 or 1a installed?

I good first step would be to do:

Start, Run, sfc /Scannow
