Windows Explorer folder view missing

When I go to my Win2k Server SP3 + all updates and I start the Windows Explorer, the folder view in the left window pane is greyed out...there is nothing there except for the X in the right corner.

Also when I start Win Explorer, the title bar states Internet Explorer. I know these are the 'same' programs with different interfaces but it never stated Internet Explorer before.

Does anyone know of how to get the folder view back. Yes, the Folders button is pushed.

I have tried to use Tools->Folder Options->Restore Defaults and did the same with Internet Explorer but haven't had any success.

TIA,
Dave

I solved it. Turned out to be a bad IE 6 update. I was able to do a repair install of IE6. After reboot it is working fine.
