Hi,
I'm trying to transfer some files from laptop(xp) to desktop(vista). Everything goes well except when I get to my desktop and transfer the files it asks for a username and wants to make another user account on the computer to place the transferred files.

The reason this is irritating me is because I transferred my files successfully without having to go through this about a month ago. My PC would not download Vista SP1 and I had to reformat and redo everything because HP didn't have anymore suggestions. Anyways, I got SP1 downloaded and am having to transfer the settings again.

All I want to transfer is my e-mail settings and favorites folder, but last time I tried this, it didn't ask me to create another user account, it went to the account that I already had setup on the new comuputer and when I opened up my e-mail it recognized that I had imported information from the old computer.

How do I skip creating a new user account on my Vista PC and just add the settings to my existing account? I've tried putting the same names and it will not let that happen.

Thanks,
Chris
