I'm running Windows XP with SP2 and need to install the Application Server. A google search tells me to check the box next to "Application Server".

However, when I go to "Add or Remove Programs" >> "Add/Remove Windows Components" the item "Application Server" doesn't appear.

Any advice?

Maybe more info is needed.

Could you explain what the "application server" is or where did you find the info?

Cheers,
Dian

When one goes to Control Panel >> Add or Remove Programs >> Add/Remove Windows Components, then one of the options should read "Application Server". (Other options such as Accessories & Utilities, Fax Services, IIS etc are all present).

Are you sure you're talking about XP SP2 without anything else? I don't have that entry.

Cheers,
Dian
