Using Visual Studio 2008. I have a click-once Windows application that is deployed using a url.
I have one user out of a dozen who suddenly began experiencing problems executing the program after using it succesfully for a long time. She uses Internet Explorer 8.0 and her OS is Win XP SP3. There has been no recent changes made to her system.
After she clicks a desktop icon to start the Windows program (the icon points to a url) she gets the usual popup Window saying, "Verifying application requirements. This may take a few moments". The popup Windows then disappears, but my Windows application never opens or executes. The program works for all other users.
I have tried this so far:
1. Repair install IE 8
2. Reset all internet settings
3. Run the program under a different profile
4. Disable Symantec antivirus
5. Repair .net framework
6. Executed the mage.exe to clear the application cache.
Any ideas on what may be causing the problem?
