I wanted to use Windows Authentication for an intranet webpage ( -> no login screens) so I configured the directory security:
basic authentication: on
digest autenthication: on
integrated Windows authentication: on
anonymous acces: off

The problem is that everytime I want to go to this webpage a login screen appears.
The strange thing is that when I enter nothing as login/password/domain, I can acces the website without a problem if I press OK.
Why does this screen keep up appearing ? (as it is not necessary)

Greetz,

If you dont want the login box to appear turn on Anonymous Access.

I don't want other users except the ones in my domain to access the website. The site itself uses the logon name of the user to dispay different information too.
When I login with anonymous acces enabled, the logon name is empty (LOGON_USER).

Is there any other way ?

Turn the 'Automatic Logon to Intranet sites' on within the security policies of the user's IE browser. this will stop the login dialog box from appearing.
