Upgrading of windows desktops from NT to XP has resulted in a number of printing issues for PowerBuilder client applications. The application uses special forms (paper sizes) set up on the print server and previously these were selectable from within PB development environment. The forms no longer appear within the list of forms to be selected on the developer's XP PC - this list doesn't match the form list on the print server anymore.

The problems we are experience appear to be related to form sizing (pre-printed paper) & fonts (adversely affecting print speed).

A fellow IT in my dept suggested that you need to go to the printer folder, click on file, go to server properties, and set up your sizes there. He believes that when you installed XP it reset the forms to default. You may also find that reinstalling the PB software will replace those forms to there pre-"XP" condition. Good luck

Is the print server running NT?
I have seen cases where you need to update an older NT server printer driver with a NT/2K driver to make it play well with 2K/XP clients.

Yes, the printer server is running NT and we suspect the issue relates to XP/NT incompatibility. The printer is a Brother M4318 (Epson FX1050 emulation) but there's no XP driver available for it, and various Epson drivers have been tried but don't help.
